How can these people be so POOR??

While farming, I'm sure you've all noticed the multitude of player bases with very low loot. It's more common to see someone with 40k or less than it is to see someone with more than that.

Last night I just did what I consider a major lab upgrade. It cost me 6 mil and I happened to also have a worker free so spent another 3.2 mil gold. I happily went to bed last night with a centered town hall for the first time in what must be 3 months knowing I wouldn't get attacked because I too had joined the multitude of the extremely poor...

Low and behold, I was attacked. The attacker used an expensive army and got my now nearly empty storage and I was scratching my head as to why this person would do such a thing. Sure he got 1k de but then I noticed that he also got about 50k each of gold and elixir from my storage.

It left me to wonder, that what I consider to be extremely poor is still more than the average TH I see when searching for a base worthy of attacking.

How can it be that 9 out of 10 bases encountered truly and honestly has absolutely no resources?

Could be that they're dumping all excess resources into walls before logging off.

or they are not as hardcore. Some people will only attack one to five times a week and live off of there collectors

I think SC is applying a multiplier to the number. Something like, take total loot available and multiply by .5 that would cut the loot you see in half. Then on the replay just show the total loot available. Not difficult to do and really hard to prove is happening.

My walls are 500k each. So I need over 500k do dump into walls. But there are tons of people with 200k to do. So if they dump everything into walls, that means they have left than 20-25k available to loot from storage.

So what we consider "low" is 1-2 walls worth to people fearing to get attacked.

That's their choice. Would love to see how those people will do 8M upgrades in the future.

This is one of the reasons. Not sure what th level attacked you but lots of people at th7/8 chase dark elixir excessively.

Some of the guides out there talk about brewing up mass dragons for 1000-1500 DE and other really expensive armies for this amount.

not everyone know how to farm~ and those who don't are forever lacking resources

Maybe he was aiming for your DE regardless of what his army cost.

Could be a few different reasons:
- he was pushing and maybe you offered a desirable chunk of trophies (25+ for a 3 star)
- could be practicing a war army composition and thought you'd be a challenge
- maybe just wanted the 1k DE
- might have been a revenge (this could go along with any of the above reasons)
- army dump
