Not surprisingly, SuperCell is claiming ownership of every aspect of the game.

With that being said, there are about a billion people that make and post videos to YouTube and other media outlets. With a few exceptions, I seriously doubt that they all have SuperCells permission to do so. However, just because they do it does not make it right.

I am no copyright lawyer but I bet, if they wanted to, SuperCell could make a case against all of them. If they wanted to...
The question isn't, could SC make a big deal out of it if they wanted to? (they could). The question is, will they? (they won't).

Everyone saying 'Yes' either can not or will not read/comprehend the ToS.

The content on Clash of Clans does not belong to you. It's really that simple. If you don't have permission, you can not use it.

Just because everyone else is doing it does not make it right. Try that argument next time you are pulled over for speeding. 'But officer, everyone else is speeding so it must be ok.' Extend that logic a bit further. There are quite a few people using bots, so it must be ok. Therefore, I can run a bot.

With that being said, Supecall can enforce, or not enforce, whatever they choose. Currently, they do not seem to care if people use their content to make videos.

Anyway, enough with my high horse. People will be people. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. All I ask is that people at least attempt to educate themselves before they speak.

Supercell invited the top Youtube Clashers and Boom Beach Players (dunno what they call them) to their HEADQUARTERS in FINLAND!

I'm gonna take this as a yes...

didn't you even search up clash of clans on youtube first? lol

EDIT: I've seen that you watched clash on youtube, but how do you think they started? If SC just hired randomoes to make clash vids, theyd be terrible most likely. I'm pretty sure you've also seen some clash vids with few views and subs.

    Hi!

I just wanted to chime in to confirm that yes, you can use Clash of Clans gameplay footage on your YouTube videos We have a Fan Content Policy that defines what is ok and what is not, and I'm happy to email it to you if you PM me your email address. We're going to publish the guidelines on our website as soon as possible.

In general, please follow these simple rules on your channel and you should be ok.

No shady stuff. No che@ts, h@cks or anything else that's against Terms of Service. Besides those, avoid things that are otherwise fishy, like promoting a 3rd party product / service with Clash.

Content has to be free, but you can have advertisements and earn money from those. (Like having advertisements on YouTube channel, that's totally ok!)

As some people said on this thread, Clash of Clans is our Intellectual Property. In practice this means that we have the right to say what is not ok and most importantly, we can give people the permission to make awesome stuff around Clash!!

It's awesome that you want to make Clash of Clans YouTube videos, they bring value and joy to the entire Clash community Thanks in advance and all the best for your channel!

    Cheers!
    Marika
