    5 defenses out against 20 giants, 20 wiz, 3 heal, sounds like 3 to me for sure!!

I used to get attacked almost instantly when I logged off, and I've been having periods lasting over an hour before I get attacked lately.

    No one has yet gotten into the core, though I was concerned about stronger armies and th9s getting in there from the south, and I also thought the south was the weak spot in terms of funneling if someone attacked from the east or west end (e.g. when giants come in from east end and reach the south-east AT, they turn around and go for the mortar in the compartment). So I put a tesla inside the southern walls to keep the giants funneling if they head that way (hopefully, haven't tested it out yet. It may not help if it hasn't been activated, such as by barbs/archers taking out outer ring of buildings). I also altered the outer walls a bit to try and maintain the funneling you created so nicely, but took some of them from the outer-most walls, some that had been in-between the mortar/gold originally, and a couple of the southern funneling walls to create another buffer between the southern zone and the central compartment. I also moved the AD further into the center.

    I just recently did this for two reasons (and I'll let you know how it works out with some updates): 1) I was concerned about the giants ignoring the funneling and going for the southern AD if the second wall is breached; 2) I was concerned about what would happen once they broke into that compartment and had free roam in the center of my base.

    Here's a screen shot of what my base currently looks like with the alterations I mentioned above. Again, major props on your work! Will continue to post updates.




    Logs from past two days (these aren't for base I made more significant tweaks to, those will come in a day or two):
    In this attack, it doesn't look like they had a full army ready. I had my only active tesla located in the southern corner and it prevented his first wave of wallbreakers from getting through.


    In this attack, he/she used the method of making straight lines across the north-eastern border (barb-archer-barb-archer-etc. then gobs) They got toasted.

    Thanks very much for the detail. I really like how you've added that extra southern wall. I tried some options like that but never quite nailed it. I'm also going to try your tweak for a couple days - see you back here on Friday with the results

    I found out last night that one of my clan mates it using your trophy push layout! I haven't chatted with him yet, but aussming he found it here! Right on...
    I'm on my iPad and still haven't worked out the kinks on loading a lot of images but here was a recent victory!

    War trap layout

    I laid the base but I have one extra wall left over and can't find a missing spot, is this normal???

    I'm using this layout too, and strangely made very similar mods to the post earlier today last night, closing that southern wall.

    Lost connection during farming today to find I had been attacked by a pretty high level TH9 using 9 giants 66 barbs and 90 archers (Level 6), plus 3 lev4 hogs, wall breakers and Lev 12 AQ. The attack two starred (farming layout) 67%, and took out half my stores plus the DE store in the core. With the AQ the core would have been intact so I am scoring that as a pretty good defence!

    Giants through the east tunnel, then up around and all died off as they reached the north west edge of the funnel. Barbs and archers went through in bulk behind and into two storage compartments, with the rest scattered around the base to pick off outside buildings.

    I have the same problem, actually! I haven't got a clue why it seems that BigC has one less wall segment than us, but I'm guessing that it's just hiding somewhere and our eyes are passing over it.

    In other layouts, Giants usually have an easy time destroying everything, including splash which leaves an easy pick for barch. Only heroes can actually do much to this base in my experience.
