I can't say the above any better. When I'm on my lunch break and have a shield, I have zero hesitation on breaking the shield for a quick raid. The amount of times this base gets sniped is really high. With having multiple layout available in game I will be trying out your war set up. Thank you again. I'll post logs when I can.

I used the trope version and it's very effective. I get promoted to the next league every time I go to sleep! I reverted to previous farming base at the moment cause my DE is stolen easily eh end the traps aren't set. will post logs when I have the chance to use a pc.

Got attacked by level 6 giants, level 6 archers, BQ and AQ plus barbs and a full CC.

I lost half my available loot and got one starred. Did I also mention that I had 2 mortars down for upgrades?

I've been using this base for a few weeks now and I've never had all my splashes up at the same time. I only get hit by TH 9's and I've been carrying very full storages. No one has rolled over me yet. This base works and I can't wait till I can use it with all my defences up.

One caveat however. You've got to be good about emptying your collectors. They will be taken.

I've been using the base for a few weeks now BigC and it is still working great.

The first thing I notice since I switched from the tempest (which also was a great base) it seems to be putting more people off as I get sniped the vast majority of the time. Probably 80% compared to 50% before, which is great as I have confidence when time is short to put in a few attacks without having to hide behind a shield all the time. I've put some decorations around the TH just to make clear there are no hidden teslas or other nasties. Very few ever take the TH and go onto to attack the base.

When I do get attacked, alot of the time it depends on attacking power. Only folk with L6 attackers ever get anywhere - these rest are easily coped with in the funnels. L6's can cause damage, usually through that southern compartment or from the eastern side but they only tend to get anywhere if they have high level heroes to support. No TH8 base is going to stand up to L6 troops with heroes at 15+ but I still haven't been 3 starred. Even thought they often do alot of damage they don't get all my resources - usually there is at least 2 storages and/or the DE left untouched. Virtually everything that works is with L6 giants/wizards - rarely see healers and BARCH never seems to get into the core.

Highly recommend as a farming base still.

A couple of times I've brought the TH in for trophy protection and the base doesn't seem to perform as well although as I said not been 3 starred. I suspect alot skip it but it just takes someone with the right high level troops to march through it.

I also used your war base for the first time last week with great success. Firstly it was left until the last hour before being touched. It defeated a TH9 player 4 places above me, holding out to 36% 0 stars with a dragon attack (not particularly well executed). It was then taken by a TH10 dropping about 12 places and with the above attack for guidance. He got 2 stars and 85% using GOWIPE. I think that is an excellent result and looking forward to testing again in the next war.

This is definitely the best base ever for TH8!!! And easily one of the best across all THs. I rushed to TH8 one month back and was regularly picked on by higher level TH8s and mid to maxed TH7s. I dont upgrade my defenses much because I find attacking more cool and engage all my builders on improving my offense. Ever since I have implemented this layout nobody wants to mess with my base. But some have dared to do so but with disappointing results. Below are defense log screenshots:

Only lost once but that too because the attacker chose to attack from the side where one mortar and one wiz tower was upgrading. Also, my CC did not have any defense troops and my king was sleeping. During all the attacks a mortar, a wiz tower and an AD was upgrading, so this attacker did a little better than others. Still, didnt destroy 50%, just the townhall got taken out. The 100k loot he managed to steal was because the storage was in the side where the mortar and wiz tower were upgrading. Loot protection is better than farming specific bases and same for trophy protection too. Anybody with TH8 reading this, please dont think twice: request for the trap placements and have this layout. I'm using the trophy version.


I have 1million each of gold and elixir, and 15000+ dark elixir everytime. TH9s used to attack me a lot too, but none have done so since I have employed this base. I believe the extremely stubbornly unlurable CC is the primary reason.

Pretty darn well in my opinion. In fact the level of Giant don't matter to the layout they all fly 3 at a time, just upgrade your walls and defenses for the big boys

There are about 30 logs on the Original post. Trophy has generated at least 200 trophies in a 4 day period for me personally starting at the bottom of gold 3. Others have posted similar above.
