    dragon attack affected after update

I have done all lv3 dragons with 3 lv4 rage spells and usually have always 3 star everyone. Now after update they don't seem as effective anymore. They seem to go right past air defense.

Why is this? Or am I just seeing something not changed?

Base design can affect this. Keep in mind dragons can get pulled by CC troops and Hero. Angle of attack and clearing out structures along the edge of the base to help guide the direction your dragons take is really important.

Many of us have noticed the same thing

I've noticed it as well. After the recent updates the programming for the dragons has changed. They have a higher tendency to fly right by air defenses. Everyone in my clan has noticed it as well. All dragon attacks that were effective in war before are now not as effective after the update. Again what you have pointed out is the same thing we all noticed. Dragons fly right up to air defense and now have a higher propensity to ignore air defense. I've had whole squadrons of dragons fly up and then split left and right of the air defense. Sometimes they turn around and get it. Other times they continue on with getting something else nearby and then turn around. This never used to happen as often as it is happening now. I suspect they have changed the priority level of the air defense by a smidgen for the dragon in order to nerf it a little.

I don't notice a difference at all. Are you maybe attacking a higher level base now as you are leveling up?

I just used all drags in clan wars today. I was still able to guide them where I wanted them to go. They never favored any defense anyway, that's why you have to guide by deploying properly. I used mass drag (only level 3). In my cc I had 1 level 4 dragon and 2 level six balloons. It worked perfectly. The two balloons with the L4 dragon right in front of it went right for the AD because I made sure to have some dragons already deployed on either side of my target, clearing the sides. Also, I used a rage in front to help guide there quickly.

So I don't know if sticking a balloon or two in there may help you? But usually I don't have a problem when just going with all drag either. But I also think success depends upon picking the right base for your dragon attack.

The dragon AI has not changed, however the skeleton traps might lure them away from AD if they placed them correctly.

    Garbage bases!

If your 3 starring anyone with mass drag and any spell combo its due to their crappy layout and low lvl ad. Im a maxed th8 and drags more often then not fail to get more then a 50% star..

LOL. Aaronspjut, don't be so sure of your invulnerability (I assume you are talking clan war). I haven't seen a base layout that can't be had w/ a 105 Dragoon @ TH8. Post your base layout and I'll comment on how such an attack could beat it (and/or give you a link to a 105 beating a similar layout).

Heya Wryhorn, I've just subscribed to your Youtube channel and am most impressed with your content - what's the chances of a constructive crit of my base, either on this or a separate thread? My base was flattened a while back by a maxed out hog/dragon/AQ/AK attack during the last war - but it was a totally one sided war (he was a mid level TH10 and I'm a newly spawned TH8) and I'm looking to improve and fix up before the next one!

Mark if you post a snap of the base layout I'll take a ponder. FYI I'll be posting a "Base Envy" today that is a really good TH8 layout you might want to consider. While it won't hold off TH10 (what TH8 would) it actually held off a TH9 in our last war. I'm studying its keys now.

Don't you know, Supercell stopped giving the dragons their Ritilan. Dragons have ADHD, always have.
