Most useless upgrade

Personally, I haven't used the following troops or spells since TH6 or 7 so their upgrades have been useless to me:

• Giants
• Goblins
• Lightning

I would put Healer up there but I have donated them in the past when I was TH8 so upgrading them wasn't a complete loss.

I personally disagree with this. lvl6 giants are beasts.

I'm surprised by your disdain for Lightning Spell. I love those things! They're unfortunately less useful now that everyone has 4 mortars instead of 3, but if you use one directly between two defense towers, it can kill both, which is huge against the right base.

And I've been pwned by lvl 6 giants way too many times to ever disregard their worth.

Goblins, though... yeah. I personally don't see the point, except with certain armies that I feel just aren't worth using with the amount of time I spend on this game.

Level 4 xbow. 8 million gold for a 5 damage per second increase....terrible.

Yeah but when you start getting level 40 heros comming at you. every hitpoint counts to slowing em down. But probably not necessary if you are trudging through crystal. Then yeah. Probably not a good buy. Basically if you need the extra hitpoints which you will. Eventually you will get tired of having your level 3 xbow get blown to smithereens in 3 seconds. With the level 4 upgrade you gain a couple of seconds and damage respectively against high level archer queens and Barb kings. That may not seem like a good sell but when timing is everything at high level, a couple of extra seconds may make all the difference.

Yep max lightning comes in pretty handy when planning a mass archer Barb raid. Champion guys do it all the time. They use the lightning to take out the maxed out morters. 2 each. I have 4 max morters and this is just what I've seen on my base. It doesn't always work but occasionally they get it right. Lightning in my opinion should not be able to take out a max morter in 2 shots. But it does.

I don't deny how good giants are, I have been wrecked by them too, its just that I don't use them and no one in my clan requests them, so they kind of get left unmade. I farm using Barch, Bam or loonions depending on my trophy range, war using GoWiWiPe, Loonions, Hogs, Drags, WiPe, HoWiPe, GoWiWi and currently experimenting with HoliWiWi and Valks so at this point due to their..... unused status, their upgrades to me a rather useless until I start using them which may be quite some time.

Surely, never stated otherwise, but they are the last thing I will do if possible.

I personally think high level Archer Towers don't give a very good return on investment
