TH 7 vs. Dragons

I'm not even mad. I'm just tired with all these posts complaining about dragons being OP and how they should be nerfed.

Attacking me personally is not gonna help getting your point across. You should check yourself.

So the past couple of clans wars I've been totally wiped out by all dragon attacks. Both times one of my AD was killed with lightning then the dragons ripped through my base fairly easy. I did kill two or three of them however it was still quite an easy 3 star for them. Seems like an easy strat: make 9 dragons and a couple of other things then destroy me Looks like the Dragon strat is quite popular so if there is any way a TH 7 can defend it please share with me ha!

Just curious if it is possible to defend a Dragon attack at TH 7? It seems like I just don't have enough anti-air defenses to really defend them. Any suggestions or tips? I assume at TH 8 its much better as you have many more air defenses.

Sorry but there really isn't any sure way of winning a defense against dragons. you can place your air defenses in the center, but then it creates an easy target for giant raids. The dragons are really expensive, so you should try to defend against giants, as they are easier to whip out. Later when you move on to TH8 you can position your air defenses so that it is much more difficult to 3 star your base. Hope this helped.

I say lets have peace mate. The sad thing is that I don't even know why we were arguing in the first place. I was a heavy mass dragon user in my th7-8 days, not because it doesn't require any skills like other said, but simply because it is the most devastating attack at the level. Though I rarely use it now, I still appreciate those who attack with dragons. In fact I'm normally the first one to jump out to defend mass dragon attack when someone claim it being boring, brainless, or op.

Anyway it seems we have enough common ground to have peace. Hope you enjoy a lovely day.

Lies :eek:. Well, the thing about TH 7s being unable to defend drags is completely true, there's pretty much nothing you can do if the person attacking you's half decent.

But TH 8, it's pretty darn easy to stop drags, I've been 1 starred tops against them (lvl 3 drags). Add in some balloons and I've been 2-starred, but never 3'd.

With level 3 dragons, I can 2 star any TH8 base including yours. It is a fact that it is very difficult to defend against dragons in TH8 and any base can be 2 starred if attacked with somebody who knows what they are doing with a chance at 3.

When can you defend dragons? I'd say TH9.
Yes you get drags at TH7 and you get an AD to defend them,it is enough. I mean,every base has weaknesses.

It is enough? Here, you get a small little canon and some walls to surround it, now defend against 20 giants.



If you didn't get it, no, it's not enough.

Disagree. Even with 3 lv6 ad th8 can still be 3 stared easily by mass dragon if the attackers are half decent. Even at th9 it is near impossible to prevent 1 star unless the attacker is really stupid.

I agree with you Bianjing. At TH8 I had AD 6 and people could 3 star my base with lvl 4 drags and sometimes lvl 3. It wasn't until I maxed out my teslas in TH8 that I could stand up to mass dragon attacks with any regularity.

Well I am maxed th7 without the king and I got 3 starred in war from a mass lvl 2 drags raid but someone used I think 7 lvl 3 drags and just 1 starred me because his spells were llvl 1 and he was idiot to put 1 at each place

Great option: retaliate with a 3 star on one of their bases by a mass drag attack. Best defense is a great offense.
