Level?

I am lv98 th9. I have max th8 defences and only been th9 for 1 1/2 months. But I only have a 33k friend in need. Is that not that much? It seems like a pretty low friend in need(at least in my clan). Just yesterday I saw a th9 with a friend in need of 450k(they were lv166). On average i donate about 2-3k a season. Is there a way to greatly improve my donating ratio? I still want to be able to attack lots so I don't want to have donating troops in my camps for days on end. Should join a donating clan for a little bit?

The quickest way to get em up is to clan hop and donate empty requests. Ive found donating clans overly competitive and unproductive. Ive farmed my base hard, averaging 300+ wins per season. Havent been playing long compared to other people at my th lvl. So my donations are low also. I say don't worry about it. Lvl is just a number
