    I have a few 'gemmers' in my clan with this problem, all I suggest them to do it tough it out - upgrade all your mines/collectors, your most common troops [such as archer] and otherwise keep upgrading your cheapest stuff so your resources remain low.

    It's really the only defense they have, if there is not much available to raid you won't have too many problems.

    Good thread btw, read it again and it has great advice.

    This is more a suggestion for SuperCell...but w/e.

    I think one thing that could also help is expanding leagues to give a payout for your defense wins.

    In my experience the premature halls get more defense wins then anyone. I always check my leagues to see who have the most defense wins and they are often premature halls.

    Clearly raiders eyes light up seeing the resources available but often get overwhelmed by the volume of buildings and defenses in the way.

    Even a premature TH9 is very difficult to 100% with a TH7...believe me, I've tried quite a few times.

    But if they were to get a payout for their defense wins at the end of the league session [for everyone for that matter - but I feel premature halls would benefit more], it would be a welcome boost for them to stick at it and keep trying.

    I'm not sure that encouraging defensive strategy this way is a good idea. It would change the fundamental strategy of the game. We'd likely see a lot more defensively-oriented players, and possibly less raiding due to people focusing on getting the payout from a defensive win. One of the things I enjoy about this game is it forces me out of my "comfort zone" into raiding people for resources and trophies so I can keep upgrading my own stuff and donating to my clan. I'm not sure people would feel as strong a need to raid if defensive wins resulted in free resources.

    The way the game is now, if someone upgrades too soon, they can have their clan help them out with defense. Clans can do that now, but the clans I see usually have 3-5 higher level players who donate a lot, so these players wouldn't be relying on multiple donations to keep the castle stocked with troops.

    Gemming massive upgrades SHOULD be penalized to a certain extent (the way it is now)- I don't like the idea of someone with hundreds of dollars to blow being able to just buy their way to victory. I like the current system that encourages people to play the game, and build resources the fun way: by raiding.

    I am only just now upgrading to th8 and this is great advice. For those stuck in th9 upgrade defenses before army. But army is a quick way to get gold and elixir, so listen to the people who have been a premature th9

    I haven't spent a dollar on the game yet. I play multiple accounts and I'm finally upgrading my TH to level 8. I hate being passed up in upgrades by someone whose only advantage is their deep pockets. I do want some reward for winning defenses but I indirectly get elixir from raids.

    Why don't just make a possibility to go down one upgrade on th so for example you made a th9 and then click on it and downgrades to th8 but then you also loose other Buildings which is only for th9+!

    But anyway I have been attacked and lost around 250k elixir and 200k gold to a person with th9! I have th8 and had about 1500 000 elixir in my storages and almost nothing in my collectors, where is the penalty?!!
    After that I found a dude both when in searching and Another dude in my revenge list, they both had completely full storages 4x lvl 11 and both had th9, you know my loot there? 220k was maximum to get from both and I just say ♥♥♥ as some people tells me there is penalty for th9 to attack th8 and bonus for th8 against th9!!! It cant be true as my eperience tells

    Premature base

    My base is a somewhat premature th 9 base, but i can easily defend against most raids from high th 8 and somewhat low th 9. My archer towers are lvl 8 and 9, cannons 9 and 10, wizard towers level 5,5,6 and level 4 for the new one, mortars level 6, CC level 4. My severely underleveld defenses are my air defenses, 1,3,3,4 and my teslas, 1,1,2,2. My walls are mostly 6 and 7 with a couple 8. If you have maxed out th 7, u can go to th 9 after a little while without too much trouble. Just make sure your troops and army camps are pretty leveld up. Im around 1500 trophies and get 300-800k an hour.

    The max amount of each loot that you can steal from a townhall equal to yours is 198k. The bonus is 110%, so you could steal around 220k from the storages. His penalty to you would be 90% so he could steal around 180k from storages. This means that he stole about 70k from your collecotrs , which meant each pump
    had around 25k in it

    Lol it depends on how premature the th 9 is. I revenged a th 10 with level 1 and 2 walls and easily got 100% when i was th 9
