Here is what happened to me.

I spent 100 dollars on gems and recieved my 14000 gems. I started to purchase speed ups, upgrade buildings, commond center, build walls and purchase resources. Worked on my base for about an hour and spent around 10K of my gems. When I reopened the app a few hours later my base had reverted back to what it looked like before. All my upgrades were gone, buildings were gone everything was like what it was before and only 4k gems left. It reverted my game back and kept all the gems I used on things. I sent this to them and there techs say that I had lost connectivity and that is why it did this. Everything I did when offline was not captured. The only thing is that all gems used were not returned. The said there is nothing they can do about it. BULL. Their glitch they say and I'm the one who gets screwed. Caution Everyone. If your online and loose connection and spend any gems you will loose them.

Contact Apple for refund, attach all emails sent between you and their staff team, backed up with pictures of before and after if you can.

If SC say they can't do anything, then they won't. Best to sort it out yourself.

You lost connection for an hour and there was no lost connection message? Usually there is a pop-up message saying you lost connection within a minute or even less. If this were true, then it was very strange.

Had that happen to me before,
I was tapping my screen waiting for troops for a half hour, then realized the bird sounds were on a loop, reset, and came back to a shield,empty castle and sleeping heroes from an attack that had happened 15 minutes earlier while I was supposedly connected.
