I agree they are horrible I was excited to get them and upgraded them straight away. Man was I disappointed when they would turn and walk out of the middle of the base and walk up and down a wall. Won't even use them now!

Actually they are easy to direct.
First make sure u lure and wipe cc - cus cc troops can be a pain for pekkas
Second use a three point attack structure with pekkas in the middle - then they will go straight for TH - although they will engage heros and skellies on the way - due to skellies give them some hero(barb) or witch or wiz backup.

The new traps suck. They only take up 1 tile, and people place them just outside the core. When PEEKA get close to TH, the skeletons come out and Peeka run to the wall to break it to get to them. You now need to drop 1 peeka and bring either valks or wiz/witches (extra) to make sure you can handle the skeletons. One thing I like to do is get my BK in the middle as well and pop his ability. The barbs only last a second but do quick work on Skeleton Traps![]()
We noticed some strange things in our war following the maintenance break as well. No clue if related to the break, but noticed a change. Troops seem to be drawn to jump once all obstacles are cleared in a compartment, rather than jumping to a much closer object, even when troops and intended item is clearly in the jump spell radius and the other is much further out. We also had dragons fly halfway across a full base to race down skully traps, ironically it helped the raid, but haven't seen that before either.
