    Buying gems for another player

There should be a button in the "add gems" menu that when you press opens a little window where you type in the gmail "or the apple game center thingy, android fan " and the number of gems you want to purchase for him. Please express your thoughts about my idea in the comments section.

This is probably not done to prevent people from scamming others into giving them free gems. There's a lot of kids on here that have their parents phones or attached to their parents credit cards.

Reminds me of the story back for the tsunami relief efforts. They had an ad that said "Text 13459" to pledge/donate $5 dollars. Some well intended but naive teenage girl, not realizing what she was doing, sent a text to that number over 2000 times. Boy were her parents upset when they saw that cell phone bill.

It'd be even worse if they were able to just give it to anyone. Pear pressure, wanting to impress others.... generally being scammed for free gems.... all a real fear that I'm sure Supercell would not want to have to deal with.

If you want to take it upon yourself to give someone free money, send them paypal funds or an iTunes gift card.

this is what people would do, make two accounts donate all the gems to one, delete the account from which you took the gems, and repeat the process

There's a reason certain countries and regions are excluded from certain purchasing activities.

If you think Apple/Google has a reason to exclude certain regions, why would Supercell be willing to supercede that?

It's tough and I know I'm spoiled being from America, but some businesses would rather avoid the headache.

i don't want to start a big argument but i want to know, what do you mean by avoiding headaches? it's a country like America with no differences "except for a few that don't affect this topic"

First part of my response, is it would be a headache for Supercell to avoid fraud and mischarges by allowing one account to purchase gems for another account. I explained above already why this can be problematic and cause headaches.

Secondly, while I do not work for a credit processing company nor have the statistics on fraud based on different regions in the world, I know that this is a problem. I don't know what middle eastern country you are in, but it's up to the credit card processing company to determine whether or not they risk accepting payment from various regions. Whether it's from Iraq or North Korea, or Zimbabwe... ♥♥♥♥♥ia? They know the risks involved and they've decided on a course of action to not accept or sell Google Play Cards to your region.

Is it a case of a few bad spoiling it for all the good people? Absolutely.

But since Supercell has to rely on the knowledge and expertise of Apple and Google for credit card processing, it's in their best interest to follow their lead.
