I had the same feeling when i had my TH10 done, and i am happy with it now! just learn to play with it. It's harder than TH8, but it is still not that hard. Start by upgrading your lab. and tropps, defense is not an issue as long as you attak enough to cover losses (exposed TH can help)
TH10 Defenses almost Maxed (Gimme 1 month for teslas and canons and it's done !) - LEVEL 128 - BK 27>28 - AQ 20 - GG 500M+ - EE 500M+ - HH 1,8M - BAMing most of the time, Barching if i need DE
4 words - never leave th 8.

Never leave th7. th8 loot is a bit dry past week.
Never leave TH 2. I would say 1, but it forces you to upgrade to 2.
As others stated, upgrade your farming troops and army camps and you will be fine.
