Thread: Skull traps finally the end of hogs?!!

    I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been suggested:

    Why not give skeletons a range like heroes? When they spawn they can only roam in a certain range. Still I would say that it's the end of hogs.

    OR

    Take away giant bomb's 1.5x dmg to hogs.

    Noobs hate hogs, for obvious reasons. But, a good design can nullify that raid and really make a clan lose the entire war if it too many of its ppl rely on hogs. Hogs were always a 1 star or 3 star gamble, it's just that now the odds against them are greater.

    ******

    PS What kind of combo can have hogs? They are too fast and will run away from the main army too quickly and die w/o doing any dmg.

    How could "5 normally easy 3 star attacks" not end up with even 1 star? Did they use mass hogs only? What level were the hogs?

    I never use an army with all hogs. I usually have a clean up crew of wizards. Something like 30+ hogs and 15+ wizzies.
    Plus u have your heroes to help out. Proper placement of heal and freeze spells (if enemy has multi infernos) is key. I usually attack the queen side last and deploy my heroes on that side to meet up with the hogs. Havent experienced a raid or war attack being sabotaged by the new skeleton trap.

    Actually, most who whine about hogs nerfs are those raiders that spam pure hogs and heal. They had refused to change despite many updates. Move on, guys...

    With all the updates, the pro hoggers have come up with new ways to hog to counter the new changes(multi-inferno, 1.5 damages giant bombs, unlurable heroes, skeleton traps, etc). We start to see army composition like Gohowipe, Golem+hogs, etc. We still see many 3 stars on max TH10 bases with hogs army composition. Yes, it is not as easy as before but 3 stars are never meant to be easy.

    Hopefully people will just start looking up on more pro replays and learn from them on how to cope with the new changes. Spending time whining on forum certainly do not help...

    Nothing needs to be changed about hogs except how people use them. As for the potential combos, use your imagination. If the hogs are outrunning the rest of your troops, then consider throwing hogs in later or at a different angle. Go search the attack strategy section of the forums for good combos with videos. Timing and placement is key. Go start some wars and get practicing mate.

    What do you mean ANOTHER bad edition from supercell? Ive liked all the new editions. Not sure what your problem is.

    Minions might be the closest thing but they still too slow and are subject to a different set of traps that the hogs can't clear the way of. I didn't say they HAVE TO go first. I'm saying when they do go first there is no troop that can back them up as effectively as there is for other defensive lead troops.

    Really? 6 little skeletons ruined a raid that was going to be 3 stars? I doubt it.
    Also, spamming them and hoping to not hit giant bombs doesnt take any skill. The truly skilled hog users I've seen have still 3 starred maxed bases with multi infernos.
