If your a new TH8 with TH7 troops just raid in silver 1. Once your farming troops are upgraded to lvl5, stay at gold 2 until your defenses are good enough the raise your trophies to crystal 3 then farm at 1900 to 2000 range. The loot bonus will add up and your loot problems will end.
