Levels and league would be alright but we must deco get levels back
I have no problem with the league badge but believe a smart man could convince developers to incorporate a players level inside it. It's really only once you get above 2k trophy's you realise how useless the league badge is at identifying a players experience, as there are plenty of fast tracked TH9's.
Its a shame to hear you won't be incorporating both level and badge, so until you convince the powers that be to start listening to the community I will continue to boycott the gem store.
The level number would end up negating the badge underneath. They want badges to matter because if badges matter then trophies matter. So, I can see why they wouldn't want to put levels on league badges-it tarnishes the badge. As for your boycott, I believe the amount I've spent on gems in the last couple days has made up for any amount you may have spent and more.

But what tarnishes the badge even more is that trophies are still near-useless. So, a farmer many shall remain. I'm not saying Supercell can't fix it, I'm just saying they jumped the gun.
As for the boycott, you're not really "making up" for it unless you are actively spending more than you normally would just because you know he is spending less. (Which, hey, you might. You seem like the kind of person who would claim they are unimaginably wealthy and petty.)

Near useless if you look at it from the loot perspective. If you are looking at it for the prestige factor (like say...the guys who are in the top 50) then it is not only useful, but it enhances their status in the CoC-world. Farmers will remain regardless. Farmers are like grinders. Shaving a little here and there while the big dogs go for the gusto.
I am spending more than I normally would because prior to this update I was just farming and not buying much in the way of gems. I actually played Hay Day more than CoC. I won't bother speaking to your "petty" cheap-shot. You can be a hater if you want to, that's your decision. Hopefully, you can develop some personal growth and move through that mental obstacle.
