This is an idea I've had for a while that involves two players who are online at the same time.
The main idea is that you have a a 40 by 120 rectangle battle field split into 3 parts. The enemy's base. Your base. And no mans land (the middle part)
the aim of the game is who can get the most percentage on their opponents base. But there's a catch. You only get to place troops on your half of the base (you can't place troops inside your base) and you can place troops in no mans land (again this is the middle 1/3 of the 40 by 120 rectangle) the battle lasts 20 minutes.
And in that time all barracks get and 8times boost. YOU CAN train troops during the battle to keep it more interesting. But you only get 10 minutes to train your troops (or you can only get a certain amount of elixir to train troops with and unlimited time to train troops. But I'll let supercell decide this). So both you and your opponent can place troops and battle and there are 3 modes for your troops.
Defend- this is where the all the troops you have place go to your 1/3 of the rectangle and do not attack anything unless enemy troops attacks you and your base
Attack- this is just what is sounds like. All your troops go and move towards the opponents base and kill anything in their path.
Passive- your troops gather up in your army camps so you can build up a massive army and ruin your enemy's day.
Note: this will have to be evenly balanced up so you don't need a clan to do this. And matchmaking will need to be tweaked a lot more than clan wars so this game is fair. It might take 2 minutes to find a match but there are other games where you have to wait 5 minutes so I'm sure players wont mid if they wait a bit longer.
when you find a match you have no troops as you have to train up troops as you go to keep people from doing too much all out assaults with all witches. Many troops won't be overpowered as in no mans land you can just place a valk on top of a witch for example. The one troop that might be a problem is hogs, because you can use a swarm of them and take out 40% of a base which is actually quite a lot. To combat this just put your troops on "defend" and by the time your opponent has trained whatever army they have your splash damage troops should take care of that. As you can getting even a 1 star will be extremely lucky
Spells will work the same way as normal attacking. And all spells will be needed.

Same in clan wars you will have a separate but very different base design as people can only sent in their troops from one direction :/ So fellow clashers will arrange it so most of their walls are on their left side. (Their opponent will see your base flipped sideways) because your base will always be on the left and your enemy's on the right.
If this idea is ever done it will need many many tweaks or even major changes, so be free to give any feedback, only if it will improve this idea
