So far there are no votes against this proposal, listed six days ago. If anyone is against, speak up now! This policy will go into effect tomorrow at 8pm eastern standard time USA.

    "Icebears!
As you know, we are bursting at the seams with new recruits! Thor must be pleased with us. That being said, I propose a rule change to help us make room for active bears.

I propose that new members with zero donations be removed from the clan after their "new" tag expires. This will allow them to be removed four days early, and would make much needed space for active members. The deadman's hand policy will be in effect for this proposal."

I like this idea, lots of 0 donators and will make cliffings faster. Doesn't take much to get out of the 0 group.

I'm Nic Cage, and I approve of this proposal, as well as a continued National Treasure movie franchise.

We have already put this "zero donation and no new tag, then kick" into effect at thunderbears. It works well. It is just. It is right. It makes us feel more Viking-like even though we are already Vikings.

It gets rid of the deadwood quicker and enables us to move on without them bogging down our administrative work.

We have also adopted your principle of cyclic leadership, or "tag the leader", where leadership is swapped around a few senior elders as and when required. It alos wroks well, maximising leadership coverage over time zones and enabling us to constantly recruit using the "open gate/shut gate" method, which allows a few new recruits in at a time (open) and then to screen them (shut gate).
Drink fast, donate fast, raid fast and don't ask questions later.

Kc, connuh and I have had much success with teamed gate openings. For instance, this week before connuh and i opened the flood gates we made a solid plan; i was to screen, while connuh wrote the names of the people who hadn't responded, warned them that they had 3 min, timed them, and kicked. It worked flawlessly. We also advised our members to hold off on chat for the ten minutes or so for the screening to be easier. When the screenings were done, we announced "can we get a hail Icebears!", which at least ten members on standby welcomed our new members. It made me so proud!

We also did something out of the box; we gave troops freely to new members. A member asked me if they should hold donations. I told them that they could choose to donate if they wished, but for them to know that the new member could leave in the flash of an eye. My thinking was this: why screen them if they are a troop farmer? Isnt that a waste of time? I know my opinion on this differs from others. So the members made their own decisions and the requests flew in true bear fashion. Surprisingly enough, we earned a bunch of great members, one who has since been tossed, and one troop farmer. The new members seemed very impressed! Just thought I'd share!

HAIL ICEBEARS! Another glorious triumph! Will soon next an extra room for the grisly trophies we have amassed. We're reduced to using Corugi's pickled head as a footrest.

    Hail Goolsmd

It gives me great honor to welcome another valiant elder to our folds, Goolsmd. Gools has been active in chat and forum, shown great helpfulness and respect for fellow bears, and far exceeds expectation for donations. In honor of his promotion, we Icebears invite you to join us for "Pant-less Friday", as suggested by Gools himself. Please attend the celebration wearing nothing but your patented Goblin skin reversible loin cloth. Special thanks to our very missed teammate Photo of black fire for fashioning the garments.
