You quoted my claim that defending your way to Champ with maxed th10 is east, which you failed to say why you disagree other than giving a bunch of farming in champ mumbo jumbos.

No you made some suggestion that reading those comments from "such an experienced player" were somehow shocking.

The point I was making (and you wrongly assumed that I was pushing for trophies whilst trying to Store Loot) was that for anyone to want to DEFEND to Champion league they better be prepared for serious loot loss. A point later confirmed by the OP saying he had to attack just to re-arm his traps.

But as this ♥♥♥ for tat could go on all day (cause i am bored whilst at work) lets just say you didn't catch my original point and for that I apologise for not being clear enough.

OP, defending to champ is possible, continuing to climb in 3300+ and beyond is a different story! pair that with fact if you defended your way to champ then you lost the ability to compete at that level and a login saying +22 for a defense isn't quite as exciting as taking 22 cups from an attack and a fellow proud champ.

Essentially you are saying skip till you find full collectors every day till you farm or gem a lev 120+ base then sit and watch.?! No thanks I'd rather be at my Grans watching coronation st, congrats on champ man you earned it either way but don't encourage people to rely on defense and miss half of the actual games attributes, attack strategy is fun maybe you just haven't learnt it yet...

I have tried numerous different ways, and know how to attack, just saying this was the easiest and quickest way that worked for me, when you win a defense your getting the equivalent of 3 stars which is damn near impossible against a maxed th10 unless you find one with single target infernos (for me anyway), also if your attacking that high you need your heroes and if they take to much damage on offence and have to rest then your screwed on defense when you go offline anyway, I was i a clan with all champs who had to keep themselves online all day to win on offense to get to champ league & i was always told it was impossible unless you can spare about 6 hours per day to continue playing, i don't have time to do that i just want to log on every hour or so when my troops are ready if they take damage on defense at least theirs a chance the person will get to 40% and give you a shield. so you won't lose any stars at all and get to wait till your heroes wake up before you deactivating your shield, otherwise i just win one, then get a loss when i log off, then win another and get another loss when i log off and it continues while i stay at the same trophy level.

This is so true. Heros Down is an open invitation, like opening the front door and making them a cup of Tea and a nice shoulder rub before they attack you. Barch with Spells is the only hope I have of ensuring they are available for Def. When the Spell boost ends this means that I would prob have to use Heros more frequently on offence, therefore unavailable without gemming them for Defence.

Oh man! The OP just want a nice, friendly discussion and thats all.

There are so many ways to play this game and he has pointed out another way that we already know, so just leave it.

Just say whether you agree or not. Thats it and why? No need to critise.

I would not be able to comment cos I have not gotten close to Champion.

But I must point out that a blanket statement like that is normally not correct. Have you tried other ways to get up there? And the fact that you are not able to set a control, you will not be able to be certain that your method works better than another.

Just thought I should share this... I am using a slight modification to galadon's base at around 3650-3700ish. Of course my walls/defenses/heroes are no where near max...



My defense log:





Facing 40/40 heroes probably 80% of the time, I didn't stand a chance.
I got 1 defense win from a guy dropping trophies using barch with no heroes.
