Ive noticed a tendancy (especially when your base gets a little bit stronger for your trophy level) for the 40% shield threshold to be inadequate. Basically what happens is you get attacked in quick succession by 3 or 4 players before someone actually does 40%. Each one may only get part of the available loot, but the sum total of multiple attacks may be twice what anyone player could expect to get. This is more annoying than anything, but I think eliminating it will improve the player experience. My solution would be to take the damage from an attack less than 40% and remove that from the threshold. So for example the first time I'm attacked for 25%, the next guy would only have to hit 15% to activate a shield. After the shield is deployed the threshold returns to 40.
