Ever get raged at for buying gems?

So im wondering what everyones standpoint is on buying gems. Recently i was having a conversation with someone on global, he asked me how i got my 5th builder. I told him i just bought gems and got the builder. Immediately some guy starts berating me for buying gems, telling me im a bad player, dont know how to play, blah blah blah.

I really didn't care about his opinion (this was global people). But i have seen quite a few times where someone gets harrassed over gemming.

I don't see the issue, if you've got the money and your serious about the game then go for it. Just make sure you don't rush as thats generally a bad idea, and keep up on learning about any new troops you unlock.

    Thoughts?

PS: If you have any stories about getting raged at over gems lets hear it.

They're invariably children who don't understand how gem purchases subsidize their game play. Buy gems or don't, but giving people grief anout it is ridiculous. Just use the handy mute button and move on.

everyone plays the way they want, some ppl spend a lot of money on this game, some spend none or very very little. There is no ' right' or 'wrong' way to play this ( unless you are a zapper, because zapping is wrong mmkay) , just make sure you are enjoying what you are doing

Even though I personally have never bought any gems, I don't see any problems with other people doing so. If you can afford it, then more power to you, and thanks for subsidizing the game for those of us who can't afford it. On the extreme end of the spectrum, I know someone who gemmed the majority of his game to TH10 including most of the walls up to lv11. He didn't do it all at once, but fairly slowly in order to learn the mechanics of the game. And before anyone jumps in with some childish comment, he is good enough to be in masters league and be in one of the top 50 clans (can't remember which one). He wouldn't tell me exactly how much he's spent, only that it was enough to buy a decent small car. Yikes! Makes SC happy I suppose...

They can't rage at me the way they did to you. Most of the time my profile achievement exceed theirs in every single aspect, so i can't be a bad player unless they admit that they are worst.

    Profile does the talking.

The gemmers I come across usually suck at one aspect or another. Maybe because they gemmed all their tough upgrades and missed out on some fundamentals of general attacks, end up farming lower THs in specific because of it and suck at clan wars because they're not used to taking on people their own size. That's just how I see it, though I'd never openly flame a gemmer unless I have proof that they suck.

I know "good" gemmers exist but I have yet to find one ingame
