Generally 4 storage TH8 base aren't a great idea as it is much easier to raid than a 6 storage base.

If you spread them out, then if they destroy 1 storage, then they get one third, not one half.

I get your point, but which would be more beneficial? Having less to protect but more to lose (4 storages) or having more to protect but less to lose (6 storages)?
