The White Flag Truce?!

It has just recently been brought to my attention that the White Flag (purchased under decorations) is a symbol of truce. Supposedly, if one has their TH outside of their base with a White Flag placed right next to it is an acknowledgement to fellow raiders that if they just attack your TH you will not Revenge them.

This recent discovery has me wondering what do the other flags represent?

I would love to hear fellow clashers' opinions on this. I'm half way through TH8 and I'm still learning things about the game. AMAZING!

Talking about CoC. I understand the white flag is a sign of surrender, but I was just talking with a clan member and he heard from others that it's an unspoken acknowledgement of "leave my resources alone & I won't revenge you".
