    I agree, it's an issue we should learn to live with. If you do it excessively, it's a bad thing, but in moderation, like when the need really arises, its ok to go with the flow. Though, the goal in life should be to develop yourself to such an extent that doing it should become pointless. I thank you for posting your view on the matter, in this forum that is filled with negativity. A counterpoint to an issue should exist and I like the way you think.

    Agree, people make a choice to trade elixir for DE, there is nothing wrong with that. Especially when DE is so rare at TH7 and new TH8. I am sure everyone has done it before and it is not likely to change in the future. Live with it.

    Maybe if ur th8 n up go up leagues n u won't have th7s battle u there for no lightning zap. I laugh wen pple zapped me in the past..I think wat a waste of spells..I never zap just cause I cant justify the time it takes to make spells for so little reward

    It's annoying and a pathetic way to get de but there's nothing we can't do with it. Clash of clans has a lot of players who lack skill and need to zap de storages.

    Even though it's annoying, I'd rather lose 1,5k de by zapping than 2,5k de when I'm attacked by gowipe/gowiwi.
    And when I was th 7 I zapped too so yeah for me zapping is fine.

    Option 1:
    - Put TH outside
    - Greedy zapper zaps DE using 3 lightning spells and got 1k out of your DE storage
    - Greedy zapper snipes your TH because he doesn't want to lose trophies
    - You lose 6 trophies but your DE storage is safe for another 12 hours

    Option 2:
    - Put TH inside
    - Greedy zapper skips your base because he doesn't want to lose trophies
    - Your DE storage is safe from zappers
    - Finally one strong attacker comes and raids your base using troops and got 3k DE + 12 trophies

    Pick one.

    This game was created for strategy. Using lightning spells on storage's is just one of them. You can't just nerf them if you don't like them. Yes, I agree with Azleir that there is, in fact, no way of countering a lightning spell. And yes, raising or lowering trophies is a avoidance. If you can't stop it, the best you can do is avoid it. I can probably predict that your a TH 8, since you said that you never made "3 lightning spells", the maximum amount of spells in a level 3 spell factory, available to TH 8's. So you wouldn't know what it's like to have 38000 DE sitting in your base. I get zapped, and loose a lot of them. That's when I dropped in trophies. And now it rarely happens.

    There doesn't need to be a change.

    If you want to sit in zap territory bullying lower TH's, this is a cost you have to consider. It really is that simple. Asking for it to be removed is basically just asking for the game to be made easier for you to progress without the risk of losing resources.

    Besides, SC partly mitigated the effect of it last year by removing the loot bonus.

    All the fixes that I've seen either don't address the "arguments" people use in support of the change or are massively OP in themselves.
