season gem rewards for top clan donators

idea is this:

each clan has a running leaderboard listing the top donators for the season, maybe just below the clan info/description header

only members that have been around since the start of the current season are eligible

only clans with at least 10 eligible members can award the gem prizes (means at least 10 members must have been with the clan from start to finish of the season)

at the end of the season, the top 10 donators receive a modest gem prize, for instance #1 gets 20 gems, #2 gets 10 gems, and #3 thru 10 get 5 each

number of award places and number of gems awarded for each place could be more/fewer, e.g. top five finishers with first place getting 10 gems, etc. enough to motivate people, but not so much to turn things ugly.


it would add a little extra friendly clan competition and encourage donations overall, plus be a fun way to get extra gems. the number of gems awarded isnt excessive and shouldnt cut into supercells sale of gems, so that shouldnt be an objection.

the requirement that eligible players must have been with the clan for a whole season promotes clan stability and discourages hoppers.

so then make the donation threshhold higher, say 500 for the season. would it really be worth it to create 10 fake accounts and make 5000 donations, so you can get between 5 and 10 gems? i doubt too many players would waste their time for that. the gem awards cant be pooled together between accounts.

This seems pretty legit and an amazing way to motivate lazy/greedy members to donate. If people want to try and ♥♥♥♥♥ the system then 20 gems every couple of weeks isnt really worth it.

If they want buyers that badly, then they should lower the cost for gems. I mean, $100 for 14000!!!! That's outrageous!

Who said they wanted buyers so badly that they'd reduce their top tier package by 35%?

if they're doing anything like they were last year, they have zero reason to reduce gem prices.
