When upgrading to level 7 or 8 walls, (lvl 8 walls costing 500,000 of either resource) you should be able to use Dark Elixir.
If the wall is 500,000... Then you should be able to spend 500 DE also.
If walls at that level can be upgraded with either resource, why not all? I am currently TH8, and it is very difficult to get enough DE for my uprades, and also need to upgrade walls.
That's a terrible idea. Elixir for walls already cut elixir availability way down and you want to do the same to DE?
Plus your ratio of 1000:1 is way too high. That would mean lvl 11 walls would cost 4000 DE, people could get that in 2 raids or even 1 raid (loot bonus in champs +3000 in storages). Everyone would have maxed walls in no time.
This idea is flawed in these ways
1. The dark elixer raid ratio will go down tons.
2. In the later stages of clash of clans dark elixer is really easy to get and spending a fraction of the normal cost would be way to op...
