Help me understand how a level 111 can attack a level 78 and gain 332K gold, 110K elixir, and 900 dark? All in Gold III. There is no way that's remotely fair and makes the game unplayable. It was not a revenge attack nor a war attack. There is no way to defend it.
I'm sure something similar has been posted before. So, if you feel the need to flame, go for it. I don't care.

What town hall is the lvl78 and lvl 111. Loot is effected by what town hall you're not lvl.
your opponent have th9, u have th8 -> only 1lvl difference :P

A good base should help reduce the impact, but at this point, your best defnese is to not have loot. I got raided, thankfully only got 45k/35k/200de. Had about 80k/180k/300de available.
maybe the higher level who attacked you had the same th level as you, the loot penalty is affected by
th level not xp lvl

Just saying xp does not mean anything u could have a th7 lvl 200 and a th10 lvl 50 its just how it works

if you only would know how much harder it is to farm at th10 then at th8 or something, you would understand that this is fair
