You are helping my point! They shouldn't have them in the game if you can use them!! If all you can use to turn a profit is barab archers gobs wb only have those troops!! Smh thanks for proving my point further!!

If you are purely farming for gold/elixir resources then there is no point in relying on dragons and spells as you will surely lose resources in the attack.

But there are people that use dragons in a variety of ways.

Some people use one or a few dragons to mix with other troops. They send in the main troops and a dragon goes in for clean up. No one said you had to use "all" dragons in your attack strategy.

Some have max elixir and making an elixir profit is not part of their strategy at that time so all dragons may make sense.

Some only use dragons in wars. Whether or not you make a profit may not be relevant to why you are attacking in a war.

Some people trade dragons with other clan members only for defensive purposes because they do so well there.

The "point" is - it depends on what strategy you wish to use. CoC is a game of strategy and a big part of that is deciding what the right troop mix is that will achieve your goals.

And remember - CoC did not supply you with a dragon so you can attack everyone with overwhelming force or always make a profit by going all dragon. They provided it to you so you can figure out how best it fits with your strategy. It sounds like you have not yet defined a good strategy for using dragons for you - hence why I suggested using cheaper troops for you.

People do use their resources, thus you cannot expect to get a 300,000 gold/elixir raid all the time. No one is stopping you from using any unit you choose to train. If you want to train dragons and pekkas to go loot, then more power to you. The rare times that you will find a well paid-out base is if the user is upgrading their townhall and is saving their resources, or you get lucky and find an abandoned base that has not been touched in a few days that have full collectors.

It is very unrealistic that you have the expectation of creating a 250,000 elixir army and expect to recoup your elixir training cost AND more on top of that as part of your loot gain. To me, if I created an expensive army like that, I have the expectation of obtaining a certain type of resource (such as DE) knowing that I will not gain and will actually lose regular elixir in the process.
