While doing revenge i don't really care what they did to me. I only look if they are available for revenge and how much loot will i get.

Why would you even revenge someone who sniped your th in the first place?
(i once tried and it was horrible so i became a good boi )
I won't revenge unless they took 300k gold/elix.

I am an occasional town hall sniper in that if I see an exposed town hall that doesn't look trapped i will take the snipe and help the guy out with a cheap shield.

I do sometimes get revenges by these players but to be honest this doesn't bother me in the slightest as I am not really fussed about trophies at the moment other than staying in a good farming range. Since the update where you spend elixir on walls i just dump any resources before I log off so i never have anything worth stealing. In fact if someone is going to revenge me it is actually a massive help if they do 3 star me as it gives me a much longer shield for negligible resources lost.

This is what happened to me the other day when I was attacked by a th10 who I had sniped down in gold 1 league and I was so grateful all be it a little confused as to why he gowiped a little th8 with just 56k gold, 30k elixir an 1k de on offer! Lost 43 trophies though which is all I can think that he might have been going for. Still I was happy nice long shield for me.

On the whole I don't revenge, but if I do ever do a search down the list anyone on the list is fair game.

A week or so ago, I sniped some jokers TH battling through 2 teslas and both his heros. Didn't take his base because I only used my heros and I thought I could get better returns elsewhere with my army.

The joker then comes to raid me on revenge. 20-30 max hogs, 5 spells, a pekka and some other troops. He got 10k/28k/92. Oh I laughed.

Wish I could re revenge this guy.

I've had this happen several times. I love it.

And no, I don't revenge people for sniping. That's why I put my TH outside and undefended in the first place. Im a farmer and I don't snipe. I 50%. But I love snipers.

I am a yes, why wouldn't I? No space for morals/ethics in online gaming, it's a game. I think it's a legit strategy for someone to leave their TH open to attract snipers and then take revenge. It is why I always consider the possibility of revenge before I snipe one. If it's a TH10 and I am an 8 then I might just hit next, depending on my loot balances at the time. I will also take a view on whether I think the opponent is any good based on their base design. If they have a solid base design the chances are they could hit you hard.

Revenge should honestly just be abolished

I think it's ok but as it stands it's next to useless. Almost every time I spend the time to check everyone on my revenge list they are under shield. So what's the point? Plus there is no back button so I have to go through the menus to get down the revenge list again. It's annoying. Their shield status should be shown.
