The update that allows walls to be upgraded with elixir has helped tremendously, but has a DE upgrade option been considered? Maybe 1% of the normal resource cost of walls (level 9 = 10k DE per wall, level 10 = 30k DE per wall, etc...). Just another option to spend DE and continue upgrading walls.

Just like it is your choice whether you would like to use gold or elixir, you could choose to use DE. In the same respect, you can choose not to use any of the above mentioned resources. Just because it is an option doesn't mean you have to use it. I have the option to use witches and golems for every attack, but I prefer the barch attack because it is cheaper. In this same way, I have the option to do either.

As someone else has already said, there will be less DE available for loot. I've already noticed that there isn't that much elixir available as it used to be before Super Cell allowed walls to be upgraded with elixir as well. Since the DE is the most sought after resource, I want to be able to grab as much as I can from others. With how expensive are the heroes upgrades, one can never have too much DE, so there is no reason to allow to use it for walls upgrade.
I didn't realize it was such an issue getting resources. I spend about 50k elixir per raid, and routinely get 100-200k gold/elixir. I am TH9 and use 110 archers 110 barbarians (level 6) and hero's as needed. I am producing 4800 DE per day with my drills, which for now seems to be sufficient with the addition of loot collected on raids. I am not that concerned with trophies, so the barch attack works well in the gold ranks. I understand that this is not so once you reach crystal and higher leagues. Anyway, I do appreciate everyone's opinion and good luck out there.
