Actually in every league it makes sense to put TH outside. Farming or trophy, TH outside works better. Unless you attack once every hour, but that is poor use of the game mechanics.
I don't remember last time that I got attacked other than for a snipe. I see people with full armies snipe me. Why? They get free loot bonus and keep their army for another base.
If everyone put their TH outside, loot problem disapear in a day. Simple as that
There is one drawback to putting your TH out. While grinding up through C1 it was nearly impossible, because they would snipe me with 4 archers for 10-12 cups yet all I got for %97 raids was like 7 cups. Needless to say it was a long slog.
Don't judge me.
Since I started I have had my TH outside. It was fine, but I ended up breaking my shield daily. Two days ago I got bored of the same old thing and set myself a challenge to see how high I could go in the leagues. Obviously trophies are the name of the game for this challenge. So I did of bit of base redesigning, with a central TH.
Only one day in, I got home from work yesterday to find I had been attacked 9 times! I collected 188 trophies winning everytime. Now I know that was just one day and dont expect the same everyday, but it takes a lot of time, and loot cost to get that sort of trophy return by attacking. Good thing is, the way my base is, if I want to it would take only a few switches to leave my TH outside. I may just be a convert to keeping my TH inside.
