    I seem to remember reading somewhere this wasn't the case. ie upgrading heros are ignored for the purposes of matchmaking. I agree if they are included in the "score" when you can't use them, then it is wrong.

    Personally I'd rather have mine and let the opponent have theirs. At least both sides can go at it full power.

    Ah ok, I understand now. Some clans are quite sensitive to start/finish times. I'm UK based, but the vast majority of my clan are based in the US. It would seriously mess with our strat if the wars started when the US guys were asleep. It would be interesting to see the results of the proposal.

    Might need a little tweak because of clans that finish a war, take 5 mins to "clean up" and then search again. Perhaps run it on 24.5 or 25hr cycles.

    I'm in the camp that matchmaking isn't that bad, but that's probably because my clan has a reasonably common composition - 3 TH10, 10 or so TH9 with the rest TH8/7 (slightly more TH8 now). There are loads of clans for us to reasonably match with, but if you are a clan with lots of max bases the pool of clans to match with is lower, so more mismatches arise (similar to the causes of the champ cloud issue) maybe the solution is to flex the matching time based on the actual strength of the clan looking for matching, or even based on how "busy" matchmaking is at any particular time - which borrows a little from your idea.

    Suggestions or improvement to Clan Wars

    • Revenge War/ Grudge Match - yes, but only if both clans agree, and it can only be done once per oppenent
    • Star Loot Multiplier - only if it's fractional, otherwise I can see this being exploited or cause multiple people attacking one base for the loot because of multiplier,in turn causing thier clan to lose war
    • Clan OPT in / out - this allows all clans into the same pot. Then match making happens this should improve the match making - I don't understand this one, don't you opt in by starting search? And opt out by not starting search?
    • Tag a Oppoents base as a "preferred target for player x" - should be controlled by leaders
    • Abandon WAR - allows strategic withdrawal from war before war day. opponent gets some free loot - yes, but only if you are still made to wait until the end of 48 hours before you can start another, otherwise this can be exploited where a clan will keep abandoning war until they find a preferably matchup

    As a pretty developed clan - all TH10 from moderately developed to maxed - we have stopped doing clanwars. Too expensive, too much hassle with a seperate warclan (the opt-in function would be an improvement here) and too much source for discontent (clannies attacking with their balloonion armies and winning 2 stars and probably just one, while only the expensive GoWiWathever armies are making the difference). I am certain there are dedicated war clans out there that have it all neatly organized with probably some inactive maxed sh9 added to the mix in order to get easier opponents, but for the occasional war it's no fun up here anymore. Perhaps the recent improvements of the loot make a slight change, but it will take a while before we try it out again.

    With my medium th9 mini it still is fun though.

    Upgrading heroes in war and longer match making times are big.
    Opt out is huge.
    Definitely no to extended time.

    I would like to see leader and co leaders be able to delete troops from anybodys war cc

    No, I'm sorry, but I am vehemently opposed to this. Either war, or don't war. You don't get to cancel the war for someone else!

    If you want to forfeit, then forfeit, but the opposing clan shouldn't be penalized as a result. The war should t end early though, as that can be manipulated.

    Well opinions differ i guess.. I hate the fact that we lose two days because of the haphazard match making system... But its all irrelevant now as the threads been moved here and as a result im not going to continue update a thread that most wont see.
