Alright, so I was thinking for quite some time (not a long time) on why did Supercell add another Air Defense. Now I know that this waaaaaaaass aaaaaaageees ago but I didn't care because I'm not TH8 but I decided tot think. I'm not sure if anybody thought of the same thing as me but this it is what I thought. They added another Air Defense so they can make the top players using dragons. Call me Captain Obvious but there's more. Now the top players will think what should I use when dragons are useless? OHH YEAH! The GOLEM! So then they start gemming the golem like upgrading it and etc. I don't know what do they do with the gems. Which mean more monaaay for Supercell. Now I didn't say anywhere that Supercell is greedy and I'm not saying that Supercell is greedy just by using ordinary business tactics to make their money. Every business has to find a way to make their money, and that's how Supercell it making their money.

Detective Obvious is more appropriate. Of course they are going to promote the new contents. They would not introduce a new unit that will be overlooked by the old ones. Every game nerfs old contents with new updates.
