Interesting idea. But I think that this is too overpowered. If a part of the base was covered up, attackers wouldn't know if their current troop strategy will work against this base or not. If they try it out and their strategy does not fit, than it will be too late.

Yesterday was history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift, and that's why we call it the present.

That's what SC (if they ever implement this) will have to balance out. The unknown factor adds to the risk, and challenges players to take the risk and reap the reward (the loot). In the future, we may see strategy to just clear the cloud first, like how we eliminate the CC troop for most of the attacks.

Ibet you that that would make attacks way more harder and more losses but make the game lots and lots more strategic and smart people get away with it

The risk we're talking here is too big. Besides, most players know about how many defenses are in a certain TH range. For example, if they know that your a TH8, and they see only 3 mortars, and a cloud over a part. They will know that the cloud hides the fourth mortar. So they still will know what's under the could.

Indeed. Too big of a cloud will be too overpowered, too small of a cloud makes not much difference as one can easily know what's under it from the other remaining visible defense (still that makes quite some difference - too deep an air defense will deter air raid, not knowing the clan castle exact location makes luring difficult). This is really the tricky part of implementation. However, if it's done well, it will invite a lot of creativity in playing with the base. Do people set up heavy traps in the cloud? Do they hide their DE storage to prevent zapping?
