Thumbs Up Introducing... The Great and Powerful Loot Converter! (With a Twist!)

Okay. I KNOW that converting resources is ruled out, but I think I have a way to make it work, so don't even bother to tell me that this is ruled out and to please read the stickies.

So anyway, let me tell you what this idea will achieve:
    • A solution to all of the missing gold
    • A new way to use gems
    • Possibly more people buying gems (Good for Supercell!)

So here's what happens. Lets say I am trying to get Town Hall level 8. It costs 2,000,000 gold. I only 1,250,000 gold, but I have 2,100,000 elixir. I can store up to 3,001,000 of each resource. I have 546 gems. So this is what I do:
    1. I click on "shop"
    2. I go to "treasure"
    3. I scroll al the way to the right
    4. I press the button that says "Convert Gold and Elixir"
    5. I now have 2,100,000 gold and 1,250,000 elixir, and I cannot convert again for another week

But here's the twist: I costs gems to switch!

So basically, the converter switches all the two resources for a price. The reason why there is a price is so that people do not keep converting resources. That's also the reason why there is a cool down of one week. This is because this should really only be use for major upgrades.

The gem cost will change as you upgrade your town hall. This is what it would be:

    Town Hall 1- N/A*
    Town Hall 2- N/A*
    Town Hall 3- N/A*
    Town Hall 4- N/A*
    Town Hall 5- 200 gems
    Town Hall 6- 250 gems
    Town Hall 7- 300 gems
    Town Hall 8- 350 gems
    Town Hall 9- 400 gems
    Town Hall 10- 400 gems**

*Notice how it says N/A for town halls 1-4. This is because it is not available until town hall 5.
**400 gems is the most someone will ever pay to convert. It wasn't a typo, I didn't mean to say 450 gems.

Another thing is that converting would only work for gold to elixir and vice versa. You can't convert dark elixir for two reasons:
    1. It's scaled differently than gold and elixir (highest level DE storage has 200,000 space while the highest level gold/elixir storage has 2,000,000 space)
    2. Getting and upgrading heroes wouldn't be much of an achievement anymore

Now let's look at another example:

Let's say I am trying to get a level 5 barbarian (1,500,000 elixir). I am town hall 8. I have 2,500,000 gold and 800,000 elixir. I have 675 gems. I can store up to 4,001,000 gold and 2,001,000 elixir. I have a level 4 clan castle with 500,000 elixir out of the 1,000,000 elixir space available So this is what I do:

    1. I click on "shop"
    2. I go to "treasure"
    3. I scroll al the way to the right
    4. I press the button that says "Convert Gold and Elixir"
    5. I now spent 350 gems, and I have 800,000 gold, and 2,001,000 elixir IN MY STORAGES. I have 249,500 elixir (half of the leftover elixir) in my clan castle. IF my clan castle could only hold, let's say 100,000 more elixir, that space would be taken away, and the extra 149,500 elixir would go to waste.

If you made it to the end of this, thank you for reading! Please comment, and I will add any suggestions that I think would help!

So you start this thread by saying that you know it's ruled out, but then continue anyway...

It's ruled out for a reason. No... Just no... There may as well be only one resource in the game.

I know you said not to point this out, but it's ruled out. Don't try to find a way around it. It's not going to work.

Thank you Milos for the sig pic!!

Here's feedback for you. If you're going to spend gems to convert, why not just spend the gems and buy the resource that you need? Derp.

These guys are correct. Finding a different method doesn't change the fact that this is rules out. You're still converting. This guy said it perfect. If this were put into play, we might as well have 1 resource. Of course Supercell likes making money but they won't do it with the chance of jeopardizing the success of the game.(which it would)
