Do people still use hog riders?

I till use them... They aren't as effective as they once were, but any TH8 can be smashed pretty easily and low TH9's are also pretty much toast too.

However, it's pretty easy to set a base up to combat them (even at TH8) so i only use them in wars if i need to clean up some missing stars that are a big lower down the order.

I only have lvl 1 hogs so far.. but hell yeah i use them they rock in golds league with 2 rage and a heal.. i 3 start a base every time if not 2 star ran out of time

I still use them a lot but only When I see all the defences are clumped together with no big bombs nearby

I still use them in war against th9's and th10's. They are still very effective just not against ALL bases and I usually mix in my heroes, 8 wizards, my cc troops, and lots of healing spells.

Between the hidden Bombs the new skeleton traps the King the Queen and other obstacles the Hogs are useless unless you just want to use two or three to draw out the CC troops. I'm a TH8 closing in on Master and I was able to win many battles before the dumb skeleton traps arrived, I only have level 4 Hogs and borrow 5 level 5 hogs and now I won't make master for the 1000 Gems thanks to all the updates to kill the Hogs. My Giants are useless they die in seconds so I have nothing to fight with. I am working to get Golems maybe it will save the day but if that doesn't work I will be forced back down to Gold rank and can forget about getting 1000 gems till I upgrade to TH9. I wish the Hogs were allowed to smash the skeletons during a raid.

I dont understand the bomb thing still? It wasnt the hogs themselves its the heal spells like i cant just go attack a max th9 with lvl 5 hogs and no spells and expect to do well?

Yes I think so. Have t been attacked by a full army of them but 5 lvl6 hog riders and a normal giant army is pretty destructive since I got 100%ed twice.

Dont care for them whatsoever. Th8 and theyre lvl 1.
