No DE troops created ever

Given that other people have commented that they have done the same, he is not alone. I took am extremely conservative with DE, having only made minions and hogs a few times, and never any other dark troops at all. My lab is fully maxed at TH9, BK at 15, AQ going to 12 and enough saved up to keep her upgrading, and my HH is only 1.25 mil. Never bought gems either, and never spent free gems on resources / time.

I've used plenty, but agree with being very conservative with DE. I've started using hogs since I maxed them for clan wars and about to switch from barch to balloonian for farming once my L6 balloons finish this week.

But the reason I replied was I came across a base (which I still farmed) that was TH10 and very decently upgraded so not a rush job that didn't have a DE store or DE drills. So this person has never worried about DE or DE troops and focused solely on elixir troops. Guess a valid method though I'd still have the DE store to increase base hps for clan wars.

My HH is 3.7 million and my heroes are only combined Lv36 ... I looooooove using DE. I probably use 10-15k de per day on troops for war and general raiding. What the heck is the point of having cool de troops if you never use them? I may get my heroes to L20 each one day, but until then I'll enjoy my maxed de troops during raids, much more fun to me.

What's the point of building a dark barracks if you're not going to train any troops?

i m currently in TH9 and i have never trained a single DE troop till date..not even a minion...i always think that DE shud be used only to upgrade heroes or to research troops( so that after maxing heroes i can use maxed DE troops)...am i alone or some of you guys are like me?

I was not quite the same but definitely understand the approach. However, I used to hog in CW until they were nerfed (except very occasionally when I take advantage of layout flaws), and these days use golems and witches. I very very rarely use dark troops outside of the cw arenas. I do prioritise troop upgrades though, and I don't want to go to war without my heroes.

I use Loonion in Clan Wars and i hogged once.
BK level 2(farming for lvl 3) and minions level 2.

i didn't even build a Dark barracks till few months ago. Once my AQ hit 30, i could easily farm de for lab upgrades and gowiwi raids for CWs

i didnt build DB because my elixir upgrades were pending.

i have 3.3 mil HH and already AQ level 30 with BK going level 26 and minions level 5, hogs 2, golem going 4, witches 2

and i have been using tonnes of DE every clanwar and donate witches for cw ccs and for normal cc raids
