    "I farm" logic

    HiHi,

This has been bugging me for quite some time. When asked "why do you not max your collectors/gold mines asap?", people reply with "I farm a lot lol" or "I want to lose less loot"

WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THIS!?

    Fail logic 1: I farm a lot
What's wrong with farming a lot AND having max collectors at the same time? If Person A and Person B both farm a lot but Person A has max collectors whilst Person B doesnt. Person B will ALWAYS need to work harder to gain the same amount of loot.

Fail logic 2: I want to lose less loot
Why would you base your collector level on such an unpredictable variable? As long as you collect your collectors in a regular basis, your gains will outstrip your losses over time.

Am I missing something here or are they hiding some secret CoC tactic?

I have read in studies that people in Western countries see their poor mathematical skills as something of a comedic trait or something to be proud of... As an Asian residing in UK, im starting to think there may be some truth to this. Is this the same in day-to-day life? Is this embedded into Western culture?! Such fail at maths in China would result in much family shame

Has it been proven that maxing collectors first than other offensive upgrades resulting in a better income overall? I see no difference

Builders for up to th9 early will always be busy upgrading something.

It is simple logic. Thinks bout how many months and for some years you will spend on the game. Over that course of time maxed collectors just get better and better. Its a pay off in the long run.

I actually recall reading in a malcolm gladwell book something along the lines of how the Asian language(s) makes Asian people more inclined to be mathematically strong.

    If your interested.

On topic: In general, yes I think you make a valid point with this thread. Upgrading collectors makes farming much more effective. I find that almost all people I see who are premature THs to any degree, the collectors are almost always neglected, regardless of severity of premmie TH.

That last part made me laugh a little too much...

And about the poor mathematical skills a comedic trait or something to be proud of? No, not at all, at least not in my area. Also, are you saying that most people with low level collectors are in the Western countries?

These people with low level collectors obviously can't see that the higher level they are the higher the profit but I'm pretty sure a lot of them do good enough at maths, they just dont apply it to everyday life.

    EDIT:

Rereading this, I can see how I naturally defended these people...my bad.

I think it's the fact that they are expensive and take a hell of a time to upgrade.

No no. I understand that it would be silly of me to apply such a generic assumption to a large number of people. However whenever i see these reasons to not maxing out a collector, I cant help but think of those articles and academic studies and if it really is true. Perhaps most of the replies i have seen are biased because they are from children?

I suppose I could counter this with a crack about the driving skills of Asians in the US being a reflection of their cultures as a whole...but then that might result in much family shame lol

I actually find them very cheap and reasonably short. They are one of my go to upgrades if I can't afford something expensive but don't want idle builders.

on my main i didn't max gold/elixir collectors till end of th9, while on my alts, collectors were prioritized. There's a limited amount of builders, and so if i'm overflowing with loot, i'd rather put it into a large ticket item, then something cheap.
