Is the skellington trap bad for it's cost?

I don't really see the point of it. It doesn't do anything against barch, and the rearm cost is way too much for what it can do against stronger army comps, which is little.

I know it's supposed to lure enemy troops into bombs and stuff, but its still meh.

Every defensive building or trap that one decides not to build will only put you at a disadvantage, however small that may be. I would say to build it and not upgrade/rearm it if it doesn't seem to do anything for you.

Think of it this way: a PEKKA trips a bomb and it does what, 30-40 damage? That's not much - it's not even 1% of his life at most levels. But it's still 30-40 damage and that could be the difference between 1, 2, or 3 stars against you.

I have both at lvl 2 already. Little bombs are great against barch, so are giant bombs. Springs are great against giants. etc

Skeleton traps aren't good against anything.

They are incredible effective against units that target specific defenses, like giants, loons and hogs, and "ok" against troops with slow attack speed, like pekka and dragons (despite splash dmg). So, skell trap definitely pay its cost.

Oh okay - I thought you were considering not buying them. I too have 2x lvl 2, but haven't really had an issue with the rearming cost since I haven't been full-on attacked since the update. However, I don't think 30k is too much to rearm all 3 at max lvl. I plan on still using them whether they suck or not.

I've found that the traps tend to be best used in their air defense form, as a ground unit they are easy to squish, whereas in air form they have a greater chance of dealing more damage to the likes of a balloon attack, or may even save you some resources by killing off a few minions if placed well.

    No

The skeleton trap can be pretty useful to distract troops from the town hall or storages you are trying to protect. Also players with low level troops can struggle to take out the skeletons, especially if they're not doing it outside the base. I don't think it's too expensive.

Thank you Milos for the sig pic!!

My personal opinion is that they are awesome. I got raided for the first time ever using a GoWiPe strategy, and the only thing that saved the Golems/PEKKAs was the Wizards that killed the skellies. Later I got raided with a giant archer raid and the little guys left a huge dent in my attackers attack. The skeletons are extremely helpful against Giants if placed right.

Both of mine are level 3, but I haven't really been raided since the second one finished upgrading yesterday. Hopefully I get attacked in this war that starts tonight so I can see them in action, but the clan doesn't look very good so I doubt any of their guys will attack me. For my war base I have them in the middle with my TH, CC, both x bows, both heroes, and all teslas. Im thinking with 8 skeletons pekkas will get taken out pretty fast since my teslas and x bows will be firing on them while they attack the skeletons one by one.
