im a Town hall level 8 and recently I have been finding it really hard to find loot around 1400 cups, where would you say the best loot is, im level 85 with a pretty much maxed base for th8 besides walls' which 126 are level 8 the rest level 7

Gold 1 for sure. ~1800 trophies.
If that doesn't work, then push onwards to Crystal 3.

trust me, i finished skulls in 22 days and was th 9 on 23rd day of th 8 lol
Edit : you can progress even faster with elixir now usable on walls

Or Go a liitle up in trophies if you think that you can raid Th9's easily.

Go up to 2000 cups to grab the 35k/35k/100 bonus then drop down to 1950. Barching TH9's will get you decent loot with 2 potential DE drills to raid.
The best place is silver 3 to silver 1 smacking premie th7 and extremes premie th8. Even de can be picked up along with trophies at around 300 to 500 de. When you need a lot of de you need to follow the post above mine. My advice is stay out of gold there's nothing there but th9 who roll th8.
