    Cap/Limit how much Dark Elixir can be taken with Lightning Spells

    I have a new idea/perspective on how lightning spells on Dark Elixir Storages should be handled.

    I know everyone or most everyone is guilty of having Lightning Spelled Dark Elixir at one point, but there should be a cap/limit on how much can be taken. I think 300 to 400 should be the limit with lightning spells. I'm obviously speaking from the defensive standpoint. Please read on, before you spam with hate on the idea.

    All those of you who are currently TH7s and have to resort to this due to raiding difficulties on TH8s and TH9s will probably be against this, but trust me when i say that eventually you will be on the other side of it, and you'll be glad that there was a limit, if it should be invoked. I'll go so far as to say don't take it away completely, but limit how much someone can take with Lightning Spells. After all there is NO skill involved (and NO defense against it) when raiding Dark Elixir with Lightning Spells (that's why it angers people even more so when it happens), and besides 300 to 400 isn't a bad deal for a TH7 who has no Dark Elixir Drill to begin with.

    Why do i say 300 to 400 Dark Elxiir?

    Well I'm assuming most people sleep, and for obvious reasons people don't play while they sleep. If my last raid is when i go to bed, and my next raid is 8 hours later, but someone hits my dark elixir storage with Lightning Spells when i go to bed, I can absorb the hit, because my maxed out drill at TH8 will have collected 360 Dark Elixir while i sleep. I would prefer that it just didn't happen (obviously), but if it must, 300 to 400 is something that can be shrugged off as petty theft.

    Why not more?

    Well as a TH8 with maxed out Troops and Maxed out Spells, raiding dark elixir can still be difficult. I, personally attempt to not raid any base under 700 dark elixir. As i stated before, I don't use Lightning Spells on their storage. I'll build my army and work my way into the center (with rage spells and heal spells if I must). But the way I see it, I earned that 700, 1000, 1500 or however much dark elixir I raided.

    When you fight for each of your 700+ Dark Elixir raids, it's annoying that because we need to save over 20,000+ for our upgrades, that anyone can just come along with a few lightning spells and take just as much without breaking a sweat.

    To make matters worse, sometimes they only lightning spell and leave (giving you a victory), but then some other person comes along and lightning spells you again. I had this happen to me a couple times in the past.

    I believe this to be a fair request, set a cap/limit on how much people can take when they only use lightning spells.

    There's already a limit. Otherwise known as how much damage a lightning spell can do to a DE storage.

    Your don't get it, I'm talking about setting a cap, regardless of the level of lightning spell or how many are used, or how much is in the dark elixir storage. The more dark elixir you have the more they can take with those lightning spells.

    But that's with raiding overall. I'm suggesting a lowered cap/limit of 300 to 400 for anyone who strictly goes in and raids with lightning spells.

    For example i have 25,000 currently. With 3 level 4 lightning spells, someone can easily take approximately 600 to 700, without breaking a sweat. If you know how to do the math, you would understand, and if your higher than a TH7, than you might empathize.

    I get it just fine, and I personally think it's stupid that there's a completely undefendable attack available that can grab that much valuable resource.

    My suggestion would be make lightning effective only against troops or defensive structures and not have it damage collectors or storages at all... but that's just me.

    Which doesn't change the point that there's already a cap, you just want to adjust it.

    The trophy loss is the penalty for this. Even though I do not care about trophies. Get revenge, stop complaining. I totally destroy anyone that lightning my de. Send the message that it is a cowards way to get de. Not a very resourceful way either to get de. Spend 60-100k on lightning spells and only get 300-1000 de...... not very smart loot management.

    New Tower:The Lightning Rod (Just an idea)
    Would be 1x1 and would have a radius of 4 tiles, anything in the radius would have the damage dealt by lightning spells reduced by 25%, so it would take take 4 to do the damage that 3 normally would.

    Lightning Rod Defense from Elixir Thieves!

    I've already suggested there by a Lighting Rod to defend you against such a cowardly attack on storage! I hate when I'm saving up dark elixir to upgrade my King or Queen and someone takes away most of the days gains with lightning spells! It SUCKS!

    It would be awesome to see a lightning rod spring from the ground and negate the effects of the lightning spell! Why would anyone be against this line of defense?

    Typically, it's the lower TH's that zap. Th9/10 doesn't have to zap to gain sufficient amounts of de typically (and even hall 8's to an extent).

    It's pretty much strictly a TH7 tactic, or premie noobs that don't have the offense or knowledge to raid DE properly.

    Anyway I say let them zap. Go ahead and blow 60-100K for light spells for a measly amount of DE.

    A TH7 doing this I can sympathize with, others not so much. I revenge strictly on the point of if they have loot. I don't care to obliterate a TH7 who zaps for a pathetic amount.

    In fact, people that blow 200K+ on armies to demolish zappers just to prove a moot point (when they have no loot available) are pretty dumb as well. If I was the zapper I'd probably laugh.

    Anyway, not like it's hard to make up that 500-700 De loss. Even in the event they take 1000 from zaps (spending a ton of elix in the process) max drills and one raid really will make up the difference.
