Never heard of this.........SC bring on the maintenance breaks!!!!
I remember this one night I couldn't sleep, so I went on Clash of Clans at around 3 AM and it was on a maintenance break. I waited until it ended and since I had a full army, I went to find some raids. Just in 2 or 3 clicks, I found a full collector base. So yes, I think it's true.

Never speak of golden hour. The more the word spreads the less loot there is going to be. Keep the hype to a minimum and be greedy

The loot is usually good after maintenance breaks, yes, but updates usually result in TERRIBLE loot because everyone gets on to see the new stuff.

it is exactly 2hours and 36 min after the break, so dont waist your time logging in right after . . . .

The Offering V9.2 a farming base for maxed out towhall 9's who dont need to protect elixir.
Say there are 1000 villages a minute that get raided and put on shield. A large portion of these are part timers and inactives who do not log in every day and let thier collectors fill. What you get is 1000 villages a minute coming off of shield with juicy collectors. Now you have an extended break lasting 30 minutes where no one can raid these villages and they pile up at the rate of 1000 a minute leaving 30,000 villages that came off shield in matchmaking. Golden hour.
