TH8 new 4th mortar hybrid base, a 5267 original (war version/farming version also)

AD level 4,4,5. for some reason air seeking mine bombs didn't go off while dragons were attacking the AD.I might have to move them around, if that bomb had gone off then he would only get 1star.He attacked from bottom.

Keep upgrading air defenses esp hidden teslas also help, lv6 does 75 dps, I'll try and make a base only to defend against drags, might post later

My new 50 walls are only L5 right now. Do you recommend I put them on the inside or outside? I'm of the thought that if someone can break your outside walls and get far enough in, that inside walls don't matter anymore, so I tend to have a strong shell, and weak inside. By the time they get in your first layer, a good # of defenses are probably down. Having L7 inner walls might not help.

Been using this base for 2 weeks now. Stood up to a mad dragon attack in war but sadly got hogged to death. I made 2 small changes for funneling purposes on the farming version and its boss. This is also my first post ever so if it doesn't work out sorry

the first layer of wall is a good place to put weaker walls, as long as its lv6+ because lv5 only needs 1 wall breaker to smash, other than that your first layer will always be taken down by 2 wb, the ver last layer of walls is also a good place but only if its very closely wrapped around what it;s protecting, if archers could shoot over the wall before, then changing it to a weaker wall that archers still shoots over makes no difference, I don't really know though it's up to personal preference, I always used it as my inner most layer of walls though

That's great infact if you found a new weakness and you found a solution to that its very good too mind posting a pic? I've never ever seen hogs as a problem before :/

I can't post pics I'm happy to give out the clan name if that helps and u can see for yourself. I changed it to farming atm but the giants didn't funnel before they went straight to the mortars in side. I moved the wall which was protruding out and moved it back. Giants now funnel. Unfortunately the teslas are upgrading and aren't in position.

2AD upgrading for lvl6(7days counting down) Mass Dragon raids are really common on TH8 in a war.skilled dragon attackers will always 3star a TH8, they might have to waste few attacks(which can change outcome of a war) but in the end it will be 3starred.current war i got attacked by giants and wizards got 54%(2 stars) wizards reached the townhall.

Yeah. Good to get some perspective. I just finished TH7 two weeks ago or so and when I did walls there, I worked outside in.

I'll try the layout, but I doubt I can farm 3.6 million gold for L6 walls that quickly. And even if I spent a lot of time tomorrow doing it, I don't have enough elixir to dump that into

Got 1 starred by healer giants and others hehe. Last 2 clan wars were against clans that didnt use mass drags.

Anyway my ground defenses arent maxed. Only got L6 mortars, 2x L5 WT , and a L6 WT

i was attaked by th9, queen, archers 6*, king 10*, and 34 hog riders 5*))) its only 1stars, 81% and town hall was not rushed))) very impressive!

little upgrade my AD and magic tower and tesla.
