TH8 new 4th mortar hybrid base, a 5267 original (war version/farming version also)

3 starred by l3 drags.

In this base's defense, am just a week into TH8, so my 3rd AD is only at lvl 2. Guess I need to try something else for war.

Trust me, having at least 3 level 5 air defense is the minimum requirements to not be 3 starred by drags (by getting lucky), for some reason people tend to have a lot more confidence in "their" defense than "others" attack, eg. as a TH8 I see many many TH7s saying they win every defense against lv5 troops from pro TH8s, but I can say from experience I almost always 3 star any maxed TH7 I find with 1 or no spells and a farming army :3, from an enemy point of view, you have TH7 defenses I'd guess, and 2 lv5 AD and 1 lv2? not to be harsh but a drunk monkey could 3 star with dragons lv3, not much skill required (if any at all). I advise you though to try other bases and see how they hold up, trust me, many TH8s are being 3 starred by drags in war it sucks but drags can't be nerfed because they are weak against TH9 bases and they also have lv3 drags. If you consider the specs of your base and you were the one with the drags, would you be able to 3 star yourself? Looking from both points of view is key to getting good attack and defense

That is true. Am a big fan of mass drag raids myself, and I didn't even bother to really focus on AD as a TH7. The only bases I failed to 3 star were TH8's, so I figured this would be the place to really focus on making an anti-air war base.

I'll probably experiment with other war bases, but like you said maybe things will get better once I upgrade more. Thanks.

Hey Bro, base looks solid. Do you have the latest updated pic of your war base? I think you mentioned that you were updating something for the war base, I'm a base noob and would really like to try your base (your most optimal version )

the arrows indicate how giants or defense targeting troops will generally flow (besides hogs/loons I can't predict them) the skeleton trap also draws infantry into the giant bomb along with some of the giants, and usually leads the troops out the bottom corners of the base by the air defense pockets, on 2 occasions though someone deployed heros and cc troops to steal DE after the first side pocket was cleared, although they didn't get into the core, since the base is symmetrical you guys can copy it from the right hand side of the screenshot

in farm base i was just attacked by these arrows)) 59%, with the imposition of the town hall.

Just tried copying your base from page 3. and it seems it has more walls than usual. Not sure what happened, been comparing for the last hour and the layout checks out, it uses up more walls for a th8

1st picture, he tried to 50 % to get 1 star.... didn't even count... too easy

2nd picture, it was a mass dragon lvl 2 only, base mananged well, waiting a Dragon level 3 atack now. I will keep you update.

I actually found a weakness in the farming base against giant healer from the bottom corners, but it's a weakness that can't be fixed without changing the walls a bit which would create a new weakness lol, but its very hard to spot, maxed giant healer with 1 spell got 58% and easily got my DE he had 550mil+ gold grab though, good attacker :/, but atm PC broke and wont be fixed anytime soon, so wont be on forums much
