It's not right for Supercell to force players to play the game Supercell wants.

Actually game designers can force players to do things... deciding what a player can and cannot do is their job.

That's the point of this game, why is it hard to understand? Why is the king so important in chess? If I like why can't I just take all the the pawns and be the winner?

If there is nothing to gain by having the highest trophy count or nothing to make me want to get to the top, then I'll be happy to stay at 1100 trophies.

This isn't chess, by the way. If I win in chess, I can laugh and say I'm better than my opponent (if I wanted to), in Clash of Clans, if I win by having the highest trophy count, who do I laugh at and why would I? It's nothing to be proud of if you have a 4000+ number or a red monster on your clan name.

Totally agree, whats the point in getting really high trophies if you cannot afford upgrades?!

I admit, yes i am a farmer and i really do not want to go up in trophies, the bonus does not compensate to what i can raid at 1300/1400 trophies.

Yes it will. It will change the whole dynamic of the game.
