What you can do instead is make sure they are happy, keep their clan castles full with great troops. Keep chatting with them etc. Don't make them feel like they need a promotion to a job they obviously can't handle the responsability of.

I don't think I'll ever agree with a "keep them happy" position which is a renamed member.

If this was a game for players 14+ i would agree. This game, however is in a major part played by children 11 and below, that has no understanding of such concepts.

Are we teaching those that being a loyal member of a community has no rewards? A fancy new title would make them happy.
