[Discussion] 4th Mortar means ALL TH8+ bases will be outdated!

You don't really need to worry about the 4th mortar yet. If you are like me and just gonna keep upgrading your mortar until it is caught up with the others, then you won't even use your mortar for about 2 weeks (th 8, lvl 6). By then, updated base designs should be out for your base. I'm not going to incorporate it into my base until it is finished catching up.

Just defended against lvl 6 barbs archers giants + aq and bk using Tempest with the 4th mortar. With the centered clan castle, the DE storage is closer to the right side so I placed the mortar closer to that side instead of trying to make the base perfectly symmetrical.

I use Verh's galaxy base and it will adapt very well to the change. Swap the fourth mortar with the barb king and the mortars are in a square. If you want the barb king closer to center, swap it with the de drill or something.

"Wall compensation"? lol, you silly OP. Just design a new base and quit ya whining. If you really cant make a base that can fit a 4th mortar, go place it in a corner or something. With the extra walls given by SC to "compensate" for your additional defense.

1 how will the tempest be affected?
2 im thinking 4 mortors each in each corner,(north south,east west of the base)
3 I'm also thinking that this will take a few months until a good base will actually be made....

Yeah it seems to be, cos I did find it difficult to make an efficient th10 base with those 250 walls, now the introduction of the 4th mortar has made it even difficult to prepare a symmetric base with closed ends. I guess we get more walls for th10 very soon . However I am in the verge of adapting to the situation and planned something for the fourth one, lets see if it really works, I shall share my experience later.
