It's gotten really obnoxious at higher levels. It takes so long to find a raid that's worth doing as you have to worry about covering troop costs, spell costs and search cost. I realize that I can't always come out ahead on all 3 resources, but the current system is really sucking the fun out of raiding.
This may have been suggested before, but I like how wars reward you based upon the strength of the base. While war rewards should be greater than normal raiding, maybe there could be a base reward that considers base strength as well and add this bonus to the trophy reward (which may then need to be tweaked downwards).
I'm sure there are other great ideas out there. This may not be the best approach. But, I just wish SC would tweak this part of the game some. I hate doing 50 to 100 searches (as I'm sure everyone else does) looking for a worthwhile target then having to settle just to cover some of my costs.
Since the last update the upgrades has made this game unbearable to play. No loot, rediculous barch attacks that grab as many trophies as a 2 star th attack. Supercell please fix or its just play another game time
My base is maxed but for walls and heroes (both are level 25 atm). I've moved up and down the trophy levels. The trophy bonuses are the only saving grace atm.
search costs are high and raid costs to take out a 9 or 10 are high. Raiding 8's is a complete waste of time because of loot penalties.
