Are you inactive in my clan? You are not worthy enough!!
As good a leader, you always want your members to stay active. Sometimes you can tell if they are active by looking at their Builders or looking at their collector to check if they are full. But sometimes you wander if they have been active for the last day or for the last 2 days. You want to know that they are going to attack in war before you actually start the war. Well there are some ways you would know for how long have they been inactive.
All Supercell have to do to solve this problem is to add a white flag on top of the inactive member for each day he/she have been inactive. For example, if I have been inactive for 2 days, I will have 2 white flags on top of my town hall.
But what about if I have been inactive for 20 days, wouldn't it be too many flags to put? Of course. Supercell could just put a limit to how many flags you can have on top of the town hall. For example, when i reach a record of 7 days being inactive I will get a bigger white flag to show a big period of time being inactive. And for each day after the 7th day, you will still have that big white flat on your town hall.
