    Give trees a lifecycle

Rather than having trees spring up randomly overnight, how about giving them a lifecycle. Something like:

    Flowers (40% of normal gems)
    Bush (75% of normal gems)
    Tree (90% of normal gems)
Big Tree (100% of normal gems)
Standing log (100% of normal gems)
Fallen log (75% of normal gems)
    Mushrooms (40% of normal gems)
    Gone!

Updates would still be carried out on an eight hour rolling process, but as well as random placement of flowers there is a percentage chance that existing structures will move up one age band.

It would provide players with an incentive to cut trees at the right time, not just use them to soak up some surplus elixir, and it would re-use the existing icons so no new artwork would be needed.

Do any interns at Supercell need a project??

    Keith.

It's a neat idea, but it's taken out 9 months to get only Large-trees around the very outside edge of my base spaced pretty equally ..... Your idea would ruin my landscaping project in short work by turning everything into logs or shrooms....I'll pass.

Im more interested in letting saplings or bushes grow over time into larger trees. So the first part is cool, but letting the trees die; not so much.

i agree with that. People like some of the obstacles and keep them for decoration purposes.
